Gabriel Martin, string instrument maker

Welcome to my string instrument making workshop. I manufacture and repair all types of bowed and plucked instruments on request, such as violins, violas, cellos, basses and classical and romantic guitars. My workshop is located in Concise, in the Yverdon-les-bains area, along the lake of Neuchâtel.

Passionate about music and a confirmed craftsman, I aim for purity of sound above all and attend meticulously to each and every stage of the creative process of my instruments. The type of wood, cut, thickness, bracing, gluing, and the shape of the neck and heel are scrupulously evaluated in order to combine acoustics with elegance.

After assembly, the precision of the heel protrusion and tilt, pitch accuracy and thoroughness of the finishing touches result in a reliable musical instrument with an unrivalled sound.

Whether you are a professional, amateur or beginner, I will take the time needed for the creation of your musical instrument. I will customise your instrument to your needs and desires. I will gladly travel around Switzerland and ship worldwide. Please contact me if you need any further information or to talk about the instrument of your dreams.
